Nashville, Tenn., Oct. 31 - The highest court within the United Methodist Church defrocked a lesbian minister Monday for violating the denomination's ban on "self-avowed, practicing homosexual" clergy.

It is incredibly sad. I used to live in Tennessee though, and I can say I'm not too surprised.

Sometimes I'm embarrassed to live below the Mason-Dixon Line...
they what ? de-frocked ?
and yeah ... some times im embarrassed to be called a human being !
do people really care ... that much ... about other peoples sexuality ... they even need to make such rules ... AND "god forbid!!!" ... a "self-avowed, practicing homosexual" ... it sounds contagious !
